3 Feb 2006 - Unicef Day
Message from Mrs. J. Barnes, Charity Co-ordinator
On Friday, 3rd February, St. Mary's Hare Park School teachers and pupils supported UNICEF's Day for Change by dressing up as a character from the film Madagascar and giving a donation. Everyone was invited to watch the film Madagascar in the afternoon. It was also a great opportunity for our pupils to learn about what they can do to change the lives of children in other parts of the world.
UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, is the only global organisation working specifically for children's rights. All proceeds from the event will directly support UNICEF's work for children in Niger and Madagascar.
Thank you for your support for this worthwhile and educational day - we raised a brilliant £507.03!
